Organization Madness

Shiki glanced at Daniel, as if noticing her was there for the first time, she blinked. "Kaa-san..." she murmured. "Oh, right! Kaa-san. It's my mother." she stated.

Akatsuki scratched his head. "Well, I must say, I don't like your brother."

"So, are you going to visit her?".

Shiki shivered. "I have to. She'd kill me if I didn't."

"I wonder why she sent you brother to tell you".

Shiki sighed. "My mother doesn't like to leave the demon world, she thinks it's too polluted here. Back in Makai, where my section of the Ookami clan lives, it's a forest area."

"When will you go?"

"Later tonight." Shiki answered.

"Well, that's the mission done." Shiki stated, with a snort. "Not exactly the ideal way, but it's done."

"Hm. Yeah, I guess so. Let's head back."

Akatsuki shrugged. "Not even any good fights, I thought this was supposed to be a high priority mission."

Shiki sighed. "That was before I found out that my brother was involved." She started walking. "Let's go home."

"Yeah, not as exhilarating as I thought it'd be."

Shiki shrugged. "That's life. Maybe we'll get a new mission soon," she gave Akatsuki a look. "You can destroy things then."

"He got to destroy something today. Not on the mission, though."

"Typical Akatsuki." Shiki murmured to herself with a laugh. "Can't go a day without breaking something."

Akatsuki spluttered indignantly. "Hey, I'm right here you know!"

"He destroyed our date". That came to his mind as soon as Shiki spoke, but he didn't say it.

"A race, Akatsuki?"

Akatsuki's eyes glinted at the challenge. "To where?"

Daniel smiled. "Back to The Organization".

Akatsuki grinned. "Agreed. What are the stakes?"

"Do we really need to have stakes?".

Akatsuki pouted. "Fine. But that's no fun."

Shiki muffled her soft giggles with her hand.

"Woot! He fell completely.".

"OK. Transform now."

Daniel turned into his wolf form.

Akatsuki smirked and transformed into a cheetah, the fastet form he knew.

"Bring it." He growled.

Shiki sighed and stepped up behind them. "Ready?" She glanced at Akatsuki, who nodded. She turned to Daniel.

Daniel winked. He looked like he was laughing.

"Good." Shiki stated. "Ready...Set...GO!" she yelled, and Akatsuki quickly took off.

Daniel started to run as fast as he could. After a few seconds, he started to slow down periodically, so Akatsuki wouldn't notice.

Akatsuki laughed as he noticed Daniel beginning to drop further behind. He could feel himself slowly becoming exhausted, his body not used to running at constant speed.
