Daniel laughed.

"A huge difference, isn't it?"

Shiki giggled lightly. "Extremely."

"Hehehe. So, after I left our realm, I traveled across the world for many years. Then I found this place and lived here before getting recruited."

Shiki tilted her head, her ears perked thoughtfully. "Why'd you leave in the first place?"

Daniel grinned. "Why did you leave?"

Shiki's eyes darkened momentarily. "Freedom, mostly..." she answered after a brief pause.

"I wanted to see the world. And I liked it better, so I stayed."

Shiki nodded. "This world has some truly wonderous places..."

Daniel pointed out a wooden cabin about 200m away from them.

"There it is. It's been a while since the last time I was here."

Shiki's eyes lightened as she gazed upon the cabin. "It's nice."

"I thought it'd look more...abandoned."

Shiki shrugged. "Same thing."

"Let's go in. I want to...see it."

"Sure."

Daniel slowly opened the door. To his surprise, everything was clean. The fireplace had some recent ashes in it.

"Hm...I think someone else is living here..."

Shiki glanced at him. "Do you actually own it, legally?" she asked.

"No, no. I...found it too."

Shiki laughed. "Maybe it's the owner?"

"I don't think so, it was really abandoned when I found it. I wonder who's staying here..."

Shiki shrugged. "What shall we do now then?"

"I don't own this house, so let's go for a walk then."

Shiki smiled. "That sounds nice, let's go."

Daniel exited the cabin and waited for Shiki.

Shiki exited the cabin also, standing beside Daniel.

Daniel began to walk. "So...tell me more about you."
