Organization Madness

Daniel gave a loud bark to Akatsuki, and made it look like he was trying to go faster.

"C'mon, get out of sight...I need to speak to Shiki alone..."

Akatsuki put on what would be his last burst of speed, using it to sprint of into the distance at breakneck speed. Soon enough, he was around the corner and out of sight.

Shiki, who had also transformed, was jumping across the rooftops, watching the race.

Daniel transformed back into human.

"Shiki? Can we talk?"

Shiki gave him a look and dived down from the building, her paws hitting the ground silently. She quickly transformed back.

"Sure. What is it?"

Daniel walked closer to Shiki.

"Go on, say it!"

"Um...so...remember our plans for today? Well, Akatsuki and I spoke and we're in peace now and it'll stay like this, or so I hope, but do you think maybe...you'd like to come with me today, this afternoon? You know, because you're leaving and all..."

"Ugh, I hope I said that right."

Shiki giggled slightly despite herself. "You're cute when you're nervous." her ears tipped slightly in thought.

"Well..." she sighed, but smiled. "Fine. But don't let it happen again."

Daniel smiled. "I'll avoid a fight with him at all costs. Well, most costs."

He gazed upon Shiki's eyes and got lost in them for a moment. Then he snapped back.

"I bet Akatsuki has realized I tricked him by now. Let's run back."

Daniel transformed into a wolf again.

Shiki laughed softly to herself. "Go ahead, I'll meet you there."

Daniel smiled with a weird wolf smile and ran off.

Shiki walked slowly through the streets, soaking in the cool air and relishing in the silence.

The Organization appeared in Daniel's view. "Hehe, Akatsuki must be waiting."

And sure enough, Akatsuki stood at the door, in human form, his eyes glowing in annoyance. "You planned that, didn't you?"

Daniel reached the door, and turned into human again. "Well, yeah. I just wanted to talk to Shiki."

"Aah." Akatsuki nodded in understanding, but his eyes warned of the promise he'd made. "How'd it go?"

"She's going out with me again!" Daniel smiled.

Akatsuki rolled his eyes at Daniel's enthusiasim. "Good for you."

"Yeah." "I have to avoid conflicts..."

"Well, don't look now but here she comes." Akatsuki announced, pointing out the doorway towards Shiki who was slowly approaching them.

"I can't believe I finally asked her out. She's so awesome."

Akatsuki laughed slightly. "Easy there, Daniel, you're going fanboy."

"Hehe, almost."

"So, what are we talking about?" Shiki asked, coming to a stop next to Akatsuki.

"Um...fanboyism."

Shiki's mouth twitched in the ghost of a smile. "Well isn't that...interesting."

"Amusing how one can become so obsessed with something...or someone."
