Shiny etc.

Do the shinies do anything more? Do they affect gameplay, levels, hp, and the such?

I'm really getting into Pokemon World. Lol.

The shinies' stats are exactly the same as a the normal Pokemon, the only difference is the color.

But they're very rare and valuable!

I have 4 shinies! A Machamp, Magnezone, Aggron and Arceus.

I legally caught the first three, the last one is a hacked Arceus someone gave me. =D

I kill shinies for my own amusement. I currently have a shiny Butterfree that i'm about to sell.

What about Great Balls, etc.?

Well, now you'll learn about catch rates!

A Great Ball has a higher catch rate than a Pokeball, it means there's more possibility to catch a Pokemon with it.

Ultra Balls are better than Great Balls, and Master Balls have a 100% catch rate, so they never fail. [But you only get one per game, unless you abuse a cloning glitch]

There are other kinds of Pokeballs that have a higher catch rate on certain situations. Net Balls work better for Bug/Water Pokemon, Dive Balls for Pokemon you catch underwater., Nest Balls for weaker Pokemon, Timer Balls increase their catch rate every 10 turns, etc.

Ah. Sounds expensive.

I GOTZ A SHINY WOOPAH!!! WEEEEEEE!!!!!

I got one in a trade today!

I had to hatch eggs for 7 hours to get a Nidoran (F) with a Relaxed nature, because the Wooper's owner wanted that in exchange, but I GOT ONE! YAY!

I cant get shinies in my emererald room... T_T

Emerald is the game with less chances of getting a shiny, in case you didn't knew that. =P

- Wooper
- Dratini
- Pichu (I got it for my Pichu fan cousin, it's his x-mas present. =D)
- Magnezone
- Machamp
- Aggron
- Arceus

And I'll get Electrike tomorrow. =D

I've got a oddish shiny!

All of my Pokemon have Pokerus. =D I got it randomly from my Luxio I caught. Pretty nice. ^^
And there is no need for Pokerus unless you're EV leveling.

IN G/S/C (When PokeRus was introduced) you gained double experience points.

But since the 3rd. gen, you get double EVs. So BSIV is right. =D

Although it's my shiny ditto and very valuable!
Oh, I wish I had the common sense to trust you with it! I wish I had an extra clone left!
