I read in a magazine about a place here in Guatemala I guess it's called "La Calle del Amor" (The Street of Love) where male prostitutes work. The article cited that there were men from 16 to about 30 years old in that place.

1. The person offering herself doesn't love herself, because she sells her body and exposes herself to diseases.

2. The person hiring doesn't love herself, because she exposes herself to diseases.

3. What happens between the two persons isn't love, because they don't even know each other and have no feelings for each other.

The most of prostitutes do it becuase they need money, as you said. But the (little) rest... well, maybe do it for pleasure or something sort like that.
