Organization Madness

Shiki nodded and followed the taller wolf.

Daniel started running north as fast as he could, remembering how Shiki was faster than him.

Shiki let out a joyed howl, feeling the wind run through her silky fur. She ran beside Daniel, her tongue lolling out the side of her mouth.

Daniel turned his head to look at Shiki, his wolf mouth resembled a grin.

Shiki snickered as a tree drew rapidly closer to the distracted wolf.

Daniel looked to the front barely in time to dodge the tree.

Shiki let out a soft, barking laugh.

Daniel sticked his tongue out at Shiki and kept running.

Shiki laughed louder, sticking hers out too.

The weather started to get colder as they kept running north. Daniel noticed some snow between the trees.

Shiki's eyes had brightened - quite literally - into a light shade of blue, rather like the sky. Her eyes reacted to happiness she felt from being within her natural element.

More and more snow appeared as they kept running. They entered a snow field, and Daniel came to a sudden stop.

Shiki, sightly surprised, skidded to a stop.

Daniel transformed back into his human form.

"It's very close, we can walk."

Shiki gave a shrug of her small wolf shoulders and turned back.

"What about?"

"Was I right when I thought you'd like this place?"

Shiki smiled brightly. "But of course. Any place with snow and I'm happy."

"I love snow. I think I've never told you, but I lived here before I was recruited by The Organization..."

Shiki gave him a surprised look. "Really?"

"Yeah...not outside, though. I lived in a cabin near this place."

"Aah." Shiki murmured. "How old are you?" she questioned.

"214 years old. I like to keep track of things."

"Hm. You're older than me than." Shiki stated.

"Really? How old are you?"

Shiki concealed a smile behind her hand. "I'm 213 years old."
